Project HELP Announces New Executive Director

(Naperville, IL)--Project HELP, a child abuse prevention program serving the community since 1992, has announced the selection of Peggy McGuire as its new Executive Director.

“We are very pleased to have Peggy join Project HELP,” said Vicki Coletta, Project HELP Board President.  “Peggy brings a strong understanding of family needs and networks in DuPage County.  We are confident that her previous experiences and commitment to the field of parent education and child abuse prevention will provide an excellent springboard in which to expand her impact within Naperville and our region.  We are excited about the opportunities ahead to work collaboratively to empower parents and strengthen families.”

Peggy’s resume includes 13 years with the DuPage County Regional Office of Education, first as a Parent Educator and then as the Program Coordinator for the Parents as Teachers curriculum.  Prior to working with the Regional Office, Peggy spent 10 years with Adoption World as both a case worker and Director of Foster Care.  Her experiences, coupled with her degree in Human Development and Family Studies and certifications through the Parents as Teachers National Center, will hold her in good stead to lead Project HELP.

"I am thrilled to join Project HELP as their new Executive Director,” remarks Peggy.  “I am passionate about strengthening families and the communities they live in.  I have dedicated the past 23 years to this mission.  Therefore, I am exceptionally proud and excited to be working with Project HELP and all the great work they do on behalf of families."
