Trade Publication Honors Two Bostons with Outstanding Community Outreach Award

Two Bostons will be profiled by trade magazine in 2013.

"Pet Product News International", a monthly trade magazine, awarded Two Bostons the Outstanding Community Outreach Award, part of the magazine’s prestigious Retailer of the Year award program.

The news was announced in the magazine's September 2012 issue and will profile the retailer in the May 2013 edition. The overall winner and the 11 special recognition winners are each given a seat on the Pet Product News International Retail Advisory Board as part of the award program.

With two locations in Naperville Two Bostons has taken involvement in its community to unprecedented levels, the magazine said. The owners, AdreAnne and Andy Tesene, "take their strong presence in their town very seriously by supporting an amazing array of pet- and people-related groups, and hosting and/or sponsoring numerous events throughout the year."

Some of the programs the couple operates include blanket drives for shelters,  food drives for people, weekly dog walks, and supporting the local library and blood bank.

The awards were created by the publication 20 years ago to recognize retail excellence in the pet industry. Candidates are initially selected from applications distributed to retailers via the magazine, PetProductNews.com and trade shows.
