'The Chew' Co-Host to Visit Anderson's Bookshop in April

Carla Hall, the co-host of ABC’s The Chew, will visit Anderson's Bookshop at 123 W. Jefferson Ave. in Naperville on April 15 to promote her new cookbook, Carla’s Comfort Foods: Favorite Dishes From Around the World.

Hall will arrive at the local bookstore at 7 p.m. on April 15. Two other authors will be at Anderson's that night as well: young adult author Deb Caletti with her new title, The Last Forever, will arrive at 7 p.m.; Elizabeth Fama, a Chicago-area author who will be promoting her teen romance novel, Plus One, and will arrive at 7:30 p.m.

In Hall's new cookbook, The Chew co-host "finds inspiration by going around the world in search of the universal home-cooked flavors of comfort," according to a description of the book on Anderson's Bookshop website.

"Carla starts with your essential recipe for perfect all-American burgers; from there, you can choose to do them up Persian-style with Cucumber Yogurt Sauce, lime, and fragrant spices; or give them a Vietnamese twist with pickled veggies, scallions, ginger, and cilantro; or take your burgers to Morocco with gutsy spices, chiles, and feta cheese," according to the website
