Tellabs' CEO Succumbs to Cancer Monday

In a letter to stockholders and employees, Tellab's chairman made the announcement of the CEO's death Monday morning.

Tellabs' CEO Rob Pullen has died after his battle with cancer, the company's Chairman Michael Birck announced in a letter to stockholders, employees, clients and others Monday. 

Pullen succumbed to cancer Monday, Birck said in the announcement. He is survived by his wife Dawn and his children Brittany and Brendan.

Tellabs' acting president and CEO Dan Kelly continues to lead the company, Birck said in the announcement.
