Survey: Naperville Home Prices Above Average for DuPage County

Average list price in Naperville is $412,987 Coldwell Banker reports.

Home prices in Naperville rank above average in the pack for DuPage County, according to a Coldwell Banker survey released earlier this month.

Of the 19 communities in or partially in DuPage that are listed in the survey, Naperville ranked the 7th highest, with an average list price of $412,987 for homes put on the market between Sept. 2010 and March 2011. Statewide, Naperville came in 24th out of 139 communities surveyed.

The most expensive homes in DuPage can be found in Hinsdale, the survey showed. The average list price there is $714,556.

Homebuyers looking for something a little less pricey would do best looking in Glendale Heights, which at $230,382 features the lowest average list price in DuPage. 

Across Illinois, the average list price is $301,258, the survey reported.

The survey looked at the average list price for four bedroom, two bathroom homes listed with Coldwell Banker. Not every town in DuPage was included in the rankings.
