After a , and so that it could obtain a liquor license, Show Me’s has closed its Naperville restaurant.
The restaurant, which featured waitresses wearing tank tops and short shorts, was open less than a year. Last winter, the Missouri-based owners encountered who were concerned about noise and drunk drivers.
The city had asked the restaurant to follow specific rules, including tightening up the dress code and maintaining earlier closing hours. In response to concerns raised by residents, several restrictions were imposed on the liquor license issued to Show-Me's, including the following:
- Show-Me's close at midnight each day
- Servers were required to wear a full T-shirt and shorts with a cuff
- No outside amplifiers
- No outdoor seating
- No outdoor activities in the parking lot
Later, the restaurant was allowed to stay open until 1 a.m. on weekends, but a had residents meeting with Mayor A. George Pradel to address their concerns.
A TribLocal story verified the restaurant had closed. Company President Ron Cote said the business had a rough start, with management problems and mechanical issues, and never recovered.
Show Me’s restaurant reviews on Yelp show that many people who visited the Naperville restaurant encountered poor service on a number of occasions.
