Naperville Student Job Fair is 'One-Stop Shop' for Teens, Young Adults Looking for Seasonal Work

An annual Student Job Fair will be held Wednesday, March 26 in Naperville and is considered a "one-stop shop" for young people looking for seasonal and summer jobs, according to a KidsMatter press release. 

The fair will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at North Central College Residence Hall/Recreation Center, 440 South Brainard St. in Naperville. 

The fair provides job opportunities as well as mock interviews, resume workshops, and information on internship opportunities to prepare students for the workforce, according to the news release.

Endorsed by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, this year’s Fair has over 40 employers offering 1,750 jobs.

This year’s businesses include: Cookie Dough Creations, Monarch Landing, YMCA, McDonald’s, Players Indoor Sports, Illinois Energy Windows & Siding, Hollywood Palms Cinema, Chipotle, Bolingbrook Park District, Meijer, Panda Express, Jewel-Osco, Odyssey Fun World, Home Depot, Gap, Subway, The Fun Ones, Ann Taylor Loft, Culver’s, Chicagoland Pool Management, Lowe’s, Walgreen’s, Subway, Yogurt Beach, Standard Market, Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, and AMC Showcase Theatres, as well as many others.

Each student who attends the fair will receive a free resource booklet summarizing the opportunities available at each participating business along with their contact information. The booklet also includes a section that provides tips and tactics students can refer to in order to increase their odds of securing a jobs. 

In addition, there will be special onsite opportunities such as:

  • A mock-interview station where students can practice interview skills with business professionals
  • Resume building and online networking 
  • Internship opportunities 
This event is free for all students and generally targets youth ages 16 to 23 years of old.
