Naperville Store's Book Giveaway Benefits Teachers, Nonprofits

Half Price Books is holding a book giveaway today at its Naperville store. Teachers and nonprofits who can distribute the books to children are encouraged to attend.

Nonprofits and teachers who work with children and who are able to distribute books to those in need are encouraged to attend a free book giveaway Thursday.

Half Price Books will be giving away 3,000 books at its store today.

The books being given away were donated as part of the store’s 14th annual Half Pint Library book drive. Half Price Books matched the number of books community members donated in the drive, according to Half Price Book.

“Thanks to the generous Chicagoland community, more children will now have access to books,” Kathy Doyle Thomas, executive vice president of Half Price Books said in a news release.  “The Half Pint Library program helps make reading a priority for children by getting more books into non-profits, schools and homes.”
