Kick's Chicken Café, Boombah, Starbucks: Business Briefs

Opening Soon: Kicks Chicken Café

Construction permitting, Kicks Chicken Café is expected to open on May 20, according to the business. The restaurant located at 2728 W. 75th St., offers everything from chicken, to gourmet sandwiches to salads and the company’s “Broasterie” chicken, which is comparable to a rotisserie chicken.

Starbucks and FedEx in the Works

Starbucks is planning to relocate one of its locations later this year. A new development is currently under construction on the northeast side of town. A spokesperson for Starbucks confirmed that the current Iroquois Center Starbucks will be moving to a new location on Ogden Avenue and will be set to open in the early fall. The store will be a company owned location. "Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers and we are continually evaluating our store portfolio," the spokesperson said. The newest location is at the corner of Naperville-Wheaton Road and Ogden Avenue, in front of the ALDI grocery store.

Boombah Opens First Naperville Store Location

A retail company, which sells a variety of athletic and sports lines has opened its doors in Naperville. Boombah opened for business on April 26. The store is located at 276 S. Route 59 in the Westridge Court Shopping Center.

This is the third location for the company, which has a Batavia store, located at 345 N. Randall Road and an outlet store in Yorkville, which is temporally closed as the outlet store conversion takes place.

The Boombah retail store carries a variety of Boombah’s athletic and sports products, which includes men's, women's and youth  apparel as well as a variety of performance and fitness footwear, accessories and equipment. Boombah has included Spirit Wear for the following local high schools; Naperville North, Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley, Metea Valley and Waubonsie Valley. Additionally the store also offers Glyder, a women's fitness and exercise apparel line (Work-Sweat-Play.com), according to the company.

“This is another exciting milestone in our organization’s growth,” Rick Tollefson, president and owner, said in a news release.  “The opening of a bricks and mortar location is a natural evolution to our successful consumer direct business Boombah.com. Guests will encounter first-hand the depth and breadth of our sports and fitness product categories.”
