Aurora Mariano's Is Now Open

Former Dominick's site is under new ownership.

A former Dominick's store has reopened as Mariano's at 3025 E. New York St. in Aurora, according to the Beacon News.

The store opened its doors at 6 a.m. Tuesday following a Monday ribbon-cutting ceremony. The grocery store is expected to bring 470 new jobs to the area, according to a rep for parent company Roundy's.

The Aurora location is the eighth of 11 former Dominick's locations purchased by Roundy's to become a Mariano's.

The location's hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. The pharmacy is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Another Dominick's in Shorewood, 950 Brookforest Ave., is also scheduled to reopen as Mariano's. According to the company, an opening date will be announced soon.
