Neuqua, Waubonsie Valley Football Teams Earn Top Rankings for 2013 Preseason

With the 2013-14 high school football season kicking off in just a few weeks, two local high schools rank among the top teams in Illinois, according to USA Today High School Sports. 

The website's "Super 25" preseason football rankings lists Neuqua Valley High School at number five and Waubonsie Valley High School number six among Illinois teams as of Aug. 9. 

Benet Academy in nearby Lisle also makes the list at number 20. Mount Carmel High School in Chicago tops the list. 

Last season, Neuqua Valley finished with a 12-1 record and Waubsonise Valley a 10-2 record. Both teams begin their season on Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. 

Neuqua Valley Wildcats hold their first game at home against Naperville North while Waubonsie Valley plays at Naperville Central.
