Cantigny Park’s Robert R. McCormick Museum will host Sleight Street on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m.
Sleight Street, a dynamic a cappella ensemble from Naperville, features eight diverse singers who share a passion for creating beautiful vocal harmonies. Their repertoire includes songs from many genres and eras but focuses primarily on jazz, swing and pop standards. All of the singers are current or former members of the Naperville Chorus.
Concert tickets are free, but distribution is by lottery due to limited seating in the museum’s historic Freedom Hall. Those wishing to attend should call 630.260.8162or email email@example.com by Jan. 31. E-mails should include a phone number. Cantigny will draw 40 names and contact ticket recipients by Feb. 5. Each winner will receive two tickets.
The 2014 McCormick Museum Concert Series will continue with the Metropolis Oboe Quartet on Sunday, March 9, followed by the Maevis Jazz Quartet on Sunday, April 13. Details are online at Cantigny.org. All concerts are free; parking is $5 per vehicle.
The McCormick Museum is closed in January and will reopen on weekends in February for free guided tours. Hours in February are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The museum returns to its regular Tuesday through Sunday tour schedule in March.
