This Whole Foods Naperville event will benefit the Whole Planet Foundation, a private, non-profit organization established by Whole Foods Market providing grants to microfinance institutions in Latin America, Africa and Asia, who in turn develop and offer micro-enterprise loan programs, training and other financial services to the self-employed poor.
The event will include free entertainment with Manpreet Bedi and storewide samples of international and Whole trade products.
A cooking demonstration of Indian Vegetable Curry and Curry Pot Pie with Dave Savini, investigative reporter with CBS2, and Michelle Leblanc will take place at 2 p.m. The demonstration will cost $10, with the proceeds to benefit the WPF.
Children can sign up to create International Puppets adn Worry Dolls for $5, with the proceeds to benefit the WPF.
