Sunrise 9/11 Service

Metea Valley High School will hold a Sunrise Service to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The event will honor the memory of those who lost their lives that day through prose, song, interpretive dance and patriotic tributes. It will also include a reproduction of a scene from the play New York by David Rimmer.

The event will also feature two survivors of the attack. Joanne Edwards, who was working in one of the towers that morning, and Kirk Holt, a member of the Army Reserves who saw the tragedy for a nearby location and assisted with search and rescue.
