Special Victorian Program

Join Naper Settlement's Research Associate Bryan Ogg for the special lecture "It's Going to be a Bumpy Ride: Victorian Transportation & Pub Culture," on Sunday, September 12 at the Naper Settlement. This is a joint presentation of the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Victorian Society of America (GCCVSA) and the Naperville Heritage Society.

The afternoon includes a lecture on transportation technology and the community of travel in the Victorian era; a tour of the Martin Mitchell Mansion; admission to tour Naper Settlement's village; and lunch hors d'oeuvres. The fee for GCCVSA members is $25 and the cost is $30 for non-members. Non-members' admission also includes a 2011 membership in the GCCVSA as well as reduced admission to the remaining GCCSVA 2010 events.  For more information, visit www.napersettlement.org.
