The giant pumpkins are back! Four 300-600 lb pumpkins will be decorated by local artists for local charities: Breaking Free, Celebrate Differences, Chicago Family Directions and Monarch Watch. Vote for your favorite and the charity with the most votes will win the biggest donation.
Activities include: Pumpkin decorating, Pumpkin bag game, Pumpkin puzzle, Pumpkin rolls and throws, Pumpkin fairy house making, Pumpkin scavenger hunt, Pumpkin mini-creature creating, Pumpkin racecars/ Derby, Pumpkin: guess the weight and win a prize
Pumpkins will be displayed through the end of October, so visit and vote often. At the end of October, purchase one of them with a donation of $500 to its charity for a unique Halloween decoration. The Growing Place will deliver the pumpkin of your choice before your Halloween party and pick it up right after.
