NCC Showcases Riverwalk Fine Art Fair Award Winners and Work of Naperville Art League

“Current Visions,” an exhibit of works by members of the Naperville Art League and winners of the annual Riverwalk Fine Art Fair awards, will be shown at North Central College’s Schoenherr Gallery at the Fine Arts Center.

The Naperville Art League is a nonprofit organization sponsored by its membership, a dedicated group of more than 250 local artists and art enthusiasts whose innovation and creativity drive the association’s continued growth. This year marks the group’s 50th anniversary, and since its inception the league has provided an atmosphere of encouragement, education and support for local emerging and established artists and for art appreciators.

Each year since 1985 during the third weekend in September the Naperville Art League hosts the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, an outdoor juried art exhibition and sale. Held along the renowned Naperville Riverwalk and downtown city streets, the show is ranked as one of the top fine art fairs in the United States and features artists from all over the country.

This year’s winners include artists who work in a variety of media, including painting, photography and sculpture.

Schoenherr Gallery’s summer hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, and one hour before most performances in the Fine Arts Center.
