Naperville 2012 Battle of the Bands

Nine Naperville high school student rock bands will compete in the Naperville Park District Youth Ambassadors’ 2012 Battle of the Bands contest at the Community Concert Center in Central Park.

The order of playing will be as follows:

• 4:50 – 5:05 p.m.: The Oz Factor – Naperville North High School
• 5:10 – 5:25 p.m.: Coffeehouse Tipsters – Neuqua Valley High School
• 5:30 – 5:45 p.m.: Food and Fire – Neuqua Valley High School
• 5:50 – 6:05 p.m.: This Week’s Trend – Neuqua Valley High School
• 6:15 – 6:30 p.m.: Little Resistance – Naperville North High School
• 6:35 – 6:50 p.m.: Ocean Glass – Naperville Central High School
• 6:55 – 7:10 p.m.: The New Epidemic – Neuqua Valley High School
• 7:15 – 7:30 p.m.: Dead Yet Alive – Naperville North High School
• 7:35 – 7:50 p.m.: Broken Tension – Naperville North High School

The first place winner will perform at Ribfest to-be-determined time, and will advance to the Illinois Park District Association’s Regional Battle of the Bands with a chance to perform at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

The second and third place finishers will play at the Naperville Park District’s Rollin’ on the River series on the Riverwalk on July 8.

Performances will be followed by the awarding of the top honors.

Concert t-shirts listing all of the bands will be available at the event for $10.
