Maya Lin: The Vietnam Veterans Memorial & Beyond
Levi Smith, Art Institute Adjunct LecturerMaya Lin first came to public attention as a brilliant designer in 1981 when her design for a national memorial to Vietnam veterans was chosen in a national competition. Lin has gone on to have an extremely successful career as a designer, architect, and an artist. In this lecture Levi Smith surveys Lin's career, describing how her work has unfolded and developed from interests and concerns she first discovered in her work on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
