FVCB "Home for the Holidays" Concert Sunday, December 4 at Norris Center

The Fox Valley Concert Band (FVCB) presents its popular “Home For the Holidays” concert on Sunday, December 4, at the Norris Center. The concert begins at 3:00 p.m. and, as always, is free to the public.

Seasonal selections to be performed at the concert include Overture to a Winter Celebration by James M. Stephenson, Polish Christmas Music by Johan de Meij, and perennial favorite A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson. And the annual tradition wouldn’t be complete without the band’s rousing rendition of Sleigh Ride.

FVCB is the area’s leading community wind ensemble, and has grown to a membership of more than 80 musicians, representing nearly 30 communities from throughout northern Illinois. Its wide-ranging repertoire includes band and wind ensemble classics, as well as contemporary works.
