DuPage Symphony Orchestra Presents 'Sugarplums and Song'

Seasonal favorites celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah make up this year's special holiday concerts at North Central College's Wentz Concert Hall, 171 East Chicago Ave. The holiday programs will be presented on Saturday, December 11th at 8:00pm and Sunday, December 12th at 3:00pm and include excerpts from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker."

While the concerts themselves will put everyone in the holiday spirit, the DuPage Symphony hopes that concert-goers arrive in a giving mood, with donations of non-perishable food & toiletry items to support .  Collection bins and a representative from Loaves & Fishes will be available in the lobby of Wentz Hall during each performance.  This is the second annual food drive hosted by the DuPage Symphony Orchestra during their holiday concerts, but the first for Loaves & Fishes who just expanded their charter beyond the boundaries of Naperville in February 2010 to serve all of DuPage County.

The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale joins the orchestra for a variety of carols and traditional holiday songs, presented in fresh and engaging arrangements for mixed chorus and full symphony orchestra. Ticket prices for both concerts are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors and $11 for students. Tickets may be purchased through the North Central College Box Office by calling or visiting ticket website below.
