Best Selling Author Lee Strobel to Speak May 23

Former Chicago Tribune legal editor and best-selling author Lee Strobel makes a rare public appearance Monday, May 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at Community Christian Church in Naperville; the event is free and reservations are not necessary.  Strobel will appear at the Yellow Box to share his own spiritual journey as a former atheist who became a Christ Follower.  It is a great opportunity to ask tough spiritual questions to someone who personally understand while also having the expertise to respond.

Strobel encourages people to attend, explaining that he will “be talking about my journey from atheism to Christianity and the evidence to convince a skeptic like me that Jesus is who he claimed to be.”

Described in the Washington Post as "one of the evangelical community's most popular apologists," Lee shared the Christian Book of the Year award in 2005 for a curriculum he co-authored with Garry Poole about the movie The Passion of the Christ.  He also won Gold Medallions for his books The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and the The Case for a Creator, all of which have been made into documentaries distributed by Lionsgate.  His latest books include The Case for the Real Jesus, The Unexpected Adventure (co-authored with Mark Mittelberg) and The Case for Christ Study Bible,
which includes hundreds of notes and articles on why Christians believe what they believe.

At the May 23rd event, Strobel will also be talking about his new book, The Ambition and signing books following the event.  “It’s a legal
thriller,” Strobel adds, “and it’s based right here in Chicago.”
