Classical Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop Takes Center Stage at Élan Dance Showcase

The performance will be held this Saturday.

Élan Dance Company will present its annual Showcase, featuring original choreography by company choreographers and their advanced students.

The showcase will be held at Naperville North High School Performing Arts Center located at 899 N. Mill Street in Naperville and begins at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

Élan Dance Company is a program of the Naperville Park District and is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council. The public is invited to attend.

The audience will enjoy a mix of eclectic dance performances by the Company, including classical ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and others. 

The Showcase will feature pieces with original choreography including, “For Their Sake,” by graduating senior Victoria Lee, “Blame It on the Boogie,” a high energy tap dance by Rita d’Escoto, “Compañera Eterna,” a masked folk ballet by Melissa Sallée, and “Melted Armor,” a modern dance by Caroline Stevens.

Tickets are $8 if purchased by March 21 or $10 at the door. 

Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.napervilleparks.org or in person at the Park District Administration Building at 320 W. Jackson Avenue or at the 95th Street Center at 2244 W. 95th Street.
