This week's Naperville Patch Whiz Kid feature includes a whole group of worthy kids.

Each week, Naperville Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. ○       Whiz Kid's Name: Mike Dial, Stephanie DeSanti, Andy Pyhala, Jordan Schubert, Jerail Wiley, Mike Kaminski, Bryan Hancock, Trevor Szymanski and Michael Pichette.

○       Whiz Kid's Age: High school

○      Whiz Kid's School:

○      Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: All are members of Neuqua Valley High School's Special Olympics Varsity Basketball team!

○      Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?): Coached by Kim Pehlke and Denise Luksetich, this wonderful team of Whiz Kids was crowned state champions at the 2011 Special Olympics state tournament held in Bloomington-Normal, Ill. But this isn't the first time. This is actually the FIFTH time Neuqua Valley's team has been named state champions. Congratulations to the champs and their coaches for their hard work and dedication!

 

 

 

Thanks to a partnership with , each weekly Whiz Kid will receive a certificate good for one free slice of pizza at the restaurant's or locations.
