Website Names Naperville as Hotbed for Cheating

Do you trust a cheater? Or, a website geared toward cheaters? If you do, then what website AshleyMadison.com has to say could cause you some queasiness.

The extramarital website, which helps couples that are already hitched hook up, is reporting that Naperville makes the naughty list. Our fair city is known for its family friendliness and quality of life, seems it’s also offering a good quality of life for cheaters — if the data is to be believed.

According to a story on HuffingtonPost.com, the company hired analysts who studied the geographic data that the company gathers from its cheating clients. Those analysts then determined the top 10 Chicago neighborhoods for cheating. Naperville made the list at No. 10.

"There is a correlation between affluence and infidelity," Ashley Madison CEO Noel Biderman told WGN News on Monday.

Roughly 70 percent of the site's members — it boasts 14 million worldwide — are men, initially attracted to the site either when they're wives first become pregnant, or after a couple of decades of marriage, Biderman told Red Eye.

AshleyMadison.com also released information on the top fields for husbands who cheat, based on a survey it conducted among fathers that use the site, and that information was published in an earlier story on HuffingtonPost.com. Seems that those in the IT/Engineering field topped the list at 10.6 percent.
