Viewfinder: Naperville Kids Rock Oswego East Battle of the Bands
Two local bands made the trip west to show Oswego East what's up.
The Oswego East High School Battle of the Bands show Saturday showcased 10 bands in all, two from —Bonito Evo! of , and Emoticon from Metea Valley High School.
Emoticon took third place on the night and won a five-hour recording session at Gremlen Recording Studio in Chicago.
Each band submitted a demo recording and printed lyrics to get into the show. Entry was free, but each band had to earn their way on stage by selling 30 tickets for the show. Each band played a 10-minute set, which was scored by judges.
