Delays are expected this morning on Metra's BNSF line following two incidents this morning.
Trains were halted on the BNSF line following a train versus vehicle crash at about 7:35 a.m. near the West Hinsdale station, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The crash was following an incident around 4 a.m. when trains were delayed after a freight train struck a bridge at 26th Street in Cicero, according to the article.
Train #1234 was stopped following the crash near the West Hinsdale station. The estimated delay was unknown, according to the Metra website.
Meanwhile, train #1242 scheduled to depart Aurora at 7:22 a.m. and arrive Chicago at 8:15 a.m. will originate out of Route 59 today. Train #1252 scheduled to depart Aurora at 7:42 a.m. and arrive Chicago at 8:34 a.m. will originate out of Naperville today.
