Teens Come Out in Droves for Pizza Taste-Off
Library offers a variety of events for teens.
Going, going GONE! All too quickly 141 teens made 22 large pizzas disappear during the second annual Pizza Taste Off.
On Thursday, March 31 the Naperville Public Library hosted its second annual Pizza Taste-Off. In addition to tasting, the teens also voted judging the donated pizza five different ways. The winners of the blind taste test are: Best Crust—Lou Malnati’s; Best Sauce—Lou Malnati’s; Cheesiest— Nancy’s and Lou Malnati’s (tie); Most Attractive—Little Sicilian and Overall Best—Lou Malnati’s, for the second year in a row.
The event was initiated by the Nichols TAGTeam (Teen Advisory Group). Teens waited patiently a half-hour before the doors opened. TAGTeam members distributed ballots and pencils to the waiting crowd. Nichols Teen Librarian Ravi Shenoy says the event was, by far, the most successful teen event here at Nichols.
