Strong Winds, Heavy Rain Possible Wednesday Night

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory, which is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.

Hold onto your hats . The National Weather Service is predicting strong winds and rain continuing tonight.

Winds are expected to be much strong near the lake, possibly reaching 60 mph, but in our area winds could gust out of the north and northeast at 35-45 mph, according to the National Weather Service. A wind advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.

Objects left outside, such as garbage cans and lawn furniture, should be secured, the weather service advises. Driving a high profile vehicle in the strong winds may be more difficult and drivers should use extra caution.
