Setting Off for New York and the 9/11 Memorial Service

Jennifer Wheeler of Naperville and Linda Pasetti-Olson of Montgomery are on their way to New York to be part of the Sept. 11 anniversary memorial service. Look for an in-depth story tomorrow on Patch.

On Saturday morning, two local women on motorcycles set out to be a part of history.

Linda Pasetti-Olson of Montgomery and Jennifer Wheeler of Naperville, both members of the nationwide Motor Maids motorcycle organization, are riding their bikes to New York to be part of the Sept. 11 anniversary memorial service. On Saturday, they set out from Wheeler's home in Naperville, planning to take a scenic route to New York.

Once there, the two will join their fellow Motor Maids in escorting members of the International Association of Fire Fighters to the memorial. Pasetti-Olson and Wheeler have agreed to send us dispatches from the road, and allow us to follow them on their trip.
