Readers Have More E-Book Options to Check Out

Additional titles available at Naperville Public Library.

Readers who regularly check out e-books from the have more offerings to choose from.

The Naperville Public Library announced Tuesday that it has expanded its e-book collection to include titles from Houghton Mifflin. The titles include a variety of fiction and non-fiction books such as the Curious George series and books from writer Lois Lowry.

Along with offering thousands of e-books, the library also offers workshops for new e-reader owners, according to a news release from the Naperville Public Library.

The library will offer the workshops on July 20. Two classes will be held that evening, with the first class teaching patrons how to use the e-readers. The second class will explain how to download books. Registration is required to attend the programs.

The Naperville Public Library has more than 7,000 audio books and more than more than 1,000 e-music selections, according to the library. Those who attend the training sessions are encouraged to bring MP3 players, including iPod, iPad, and smart phones, and library staff will show users the future of audio books.

Workshops will be held on July 20 at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive. Online registration is required to attend either program. Register through the Naperville Public Library’s website, www.naperville-lib.info, or at any of the adult or children’s service desks at the three library buildings.
