Raise A Glass To All Things Wine at The Naperville Wine Festival

9th annual event features 300 selections from around the world.

Whether you're a master sommelier wannabe looking to finesse your palate or a wine newbie still trying to decipher the delicate differences between Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio, the place to be this weekend to enhance your wine knowledge is the 9th annual Naperville Wine Festival.

The event will be held Friday and Saturday at the , located at the intersection of Interstate 88 and Route 59.

More than 7,000 people are expected over the course of two days to sample 300 fine wines from across the globe, according to organizers.

"The event is a relaxed atmosphere in which festival guests can try different wines and learn from a wide variety of wine experts as well as enjoy live entertainment and gourmet food specialties," said Mary Patton, public relations director for the Wine Festival. "The event is very reasonably priced compared to most wine festivals."

In addition to wine samples, beer lovers will enjoy the Blue Moon Beer Garden – a beer garden experience featuring a sampling of Blue Moon seasonal flavors. The festival also will feature interactive wine seminars and cooking demonstrations by experts in the field. Area restaurants including , ,  , Buckingham’s Steakhouse & Lounge, Caoba Mexican Grill and Bar and PRIME BurgerHouse, will be on site selling their gourmet specialties to complement all the wines.

“The Naperville Wine Festival is not only a great opportunity for the wine connoisseur to discover this year’s finest blends, it’s also the perfect place for individuals with a more casual appreciation of wine to expand their knowledge,” said Scott Janess, organizer of the Naperville Wine Festival, in a news release.

Adult wine tasting tickets are $27 in advance and $35 at the entrance. The ticket price includes a souvenir wine glass, 10 tastings, a festival program, access to food and wine demonstrations and musical entertainment.

Additional tasting coupons may be purchased at the festival. Designated driver tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at www.napervillewinefestival.com or by phone at 877-772-5425 as well as at all locations.
