Police Blotter: Arson, Theft and Possession of Cannabis

The Naperville Police Department reports for Sept. 9 to 11

Friday, Sept. 9

 Warrant arrest

  • Alexander Dicmor Obiofu, 20, of the 1400 block of Brook Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. in the 1200 block of East Indian Trail Road, Aurora, on a warrant for theft, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Adrian Antonio Lopez, 18, of the 500 block of Fourth Avenue, Aurora was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in the 10 block of Civic Center Avenue, Montgomery, on an original warrant for burglary, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Prantik Kumar Das, 30, of the 3300 block of Timber Creek Lane, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. at Skylane Drive and 95th Street, on charges of  driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, failure to give right of way to an emergency vehicle and stink bomb/damage, police said. His bail was $3,000. 

Possession

  • William Joseph Fieseler, 26, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 6:57 p.m. at his home on a charge of  possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. His bail was $1,500.
  • Christopher Andrew Springman, 20, of the 1300 block of Cranbrook Circle, Aurora, was arrested at 9:11 p.m. in the 200 block of North Mill Street and Spring Avenue on charges of possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and making an improper turn at an intersection. His bond was $120.

Retail theft

Emmanuel Rodriguez, 19, of the 300 block of Brown Street, Aurora, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59 on charges of  retail theft in the theft of a CD, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Driving without a license

Rosendo Flores, 20, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 12:34 a.m. at North Aurora Avenue and North Route 59 on charges of  driving without a license, improper lane use, driving with an expired registration and driving without insurance, police said. His bond was $200.

Missing property

A 66-year-old woman in the 1400 block of Queensgreen Circle, reported that on Sept. 1, a writing pad with website passwords was taken, police said.

Saturday, Sept. 10

Driving under the influence

  • Dominykas Gierdraitis, 30, of the 1900 block of Loomes Avenue, Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. in the 70 block of East Chicago Avenue on charges of driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on a one-way street, police said. His bail was $3,000.
  • Omar Atzirzi Ramirez, 34, of the 300 block of Wildwood Drive, North Aurora, was arrested at 2:07 a.m. at North Aurora Road and North Route 59 on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, illegal lane use, failure to give right of was to an emergency vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying a traffic control signal, police said. His bail was $3,000.
  • Nicholas Jonathon Silva, 24, of the 16000 block of Dan O’Connell Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at 12:41 a.m. at South Route 59 and Champion Road on charges of  driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, improper lane use, following too close and failing to give a signal, police said. His bond was $100.

Warrant arrest

  • Joshua John Meschino, 22, of the 1100 block of North Brainard Street, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. in the 200 block of East 12th Avenue and Millet Street on an original warrant for theft, police said.
  • Daniel Patrick Zierk, 29, of the 200 block of West Washington Street, Chicago, was arrested at 2:23 a.m. at Jackson Avenue and South Main Street on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. His bail was $15,000.

Arson

A 44-year-old man in the 2400 block of New Haven Drive reported that overnight two vehicles parked in the driveway had papers set on them and lit on fire, police said. Eggs also were thrown at the house.

Criminal damage

An 18-year-old man in the 200 block of East Franklin Avenue reported that between 8:50 a.m. Friday and 5:15 a.m.  Saturday, he returned to his vehicle after working and found a scratch on the passenger side and his tire was flat, police said. He thinks it happened at the College of DuPage or at his home.

Sunday, Sept. 11

Driving under the influence

  • Gregorio Cano, 21, of the 500 block of 2nd Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 1:01 a.m. in the 1000 block of Aurora Avenue and Devonshire Court on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without lights. His bond was $100.
  • Christopher Bruce Knorp, 45, of the 2100 block of Buckley Court, was arrested at 4:38 a.m. at South Route 59 and 75th Street on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving with an expired registration. His bail was $3,000.
  • Bryan Michael Diamond, 23, of the 1600 block of Killdeer Drive, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. at Modaff Road and West 75th Street on two counts of driving under the influence, speeding more than 40 miles over the speed limit and driving without a muffler, police said. His bail was $3,000.
  • Nicholas Pavlovich, 54, of the 600 block of Woodcrest Drive, was arrested at 6:07 p.m. at North Avenue and North Loomis Street on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to reduce speed, police said. His bail was $3,000.
  • Caroline M. Shelton, 25, of the 6600 block of Double Eagle Drive, Woodridge, was arrested at 4:21 a.m. at South West Street and Aurora Avenue on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving without lights, police said. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Michael Thomas Howland, 34, of the 400 block of Palace Street, Aurora, was arrested at 4:16 a.m. at Raymond Drive and West Ogden Avenue on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control signal, police said. His bail was $3,000.

Revoked license

Dustin Carl Krzywda, 26, of the 500 block of South Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, was arrested at 8:49 a.m. at South Route 59 and 111th Street, on charges of  driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. His bail was $1,500.

Warrant arrest

  • Roy P. Wold, 58, of the 5400 block of Walnut, Downers Grove, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. in the 800 block of North Mill Street and West Ogden Avenue, where he was charged on an original warrant from DuPage County. His bond was $500.
  • Ethan Mandess Collins, 22, of the 300 block of Newport Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. at Country Lakes Drive and West Diehl Road on a failure to appear warrant, police said. His bail was $3,000.
