PHOTOS: Santa, Naperville Fire Department Make Surprise Visits to Schools

After holding a first annual Toys for Tots drive this month, Naperville Fire Department and BlackFinn American Saloon paid a visit to children to spread some holiday cheer.

Some Naperville children received a special surprise visit from Santa and Naperville firefighters on Friday, just a few days before Christmas.

After holding its first annual Toys for Tots drive this month, Naperville Professional Firefighters Local 4302 spread holiday cheer by dropping off the collected gifts throughout Naperville to children in need.

Firefighters picked up Mayor George Pradel, dressed as Saint Nick, at the Naperville Municipal Center before embarking on their jolly journey to Washington Junior High, Santa House, Ann Reid Early Childhood Center as well as the Naperville Township Building.

While Santa and the firefighters may not have had any reindeer, they did ride around in style in a shiny red fire engine.

Once they arrived at Ann Reid, students faces lit up with excitement. Santa and the firefighters passed out candy canes, posed for pictures and put everyone in the holiday spirit.

All Naperville fire stations along with BlackFinn American Saloon accepted toy donations throughout the month with plans on holding the drive again next year.
