Patch Seeks Your Holiday Events, Announcements

The holidays are just around the corner, as we are well aware of thanks to the holiday tunes on the radio and the commercials on TV. That means that all around Naperville there are people planning events, gathering food, toys and clothes and seeking volunteers.

As the editors of Naperville Patch, we are here to offer our services to make sure that whether it's a holiday pageant or a coat drive, the information gets out to the community.

We know so many organizations and businesses within the community are holding food, toy and clothing drives, and we want to make sure to help get the word out. Please note that all are welcome to register and submit announcements on the site.

The holidays also are a time when many schools, churches and religious groups hold pageants and programs that the community should know about. We want to help share that information. Our readers are encouraged to submit events on our calendar.

Every week we do our best to highlight events happening around town, and as we approach the holidays we will compile a listing of holiday programs.

Naperville has volunteers who help out year-round, but maybe you are new to Naperville and are looking for a place where you can lend a hand. Or, on the other hand, maybe you are a non-profit or group seeking volunteers. We offer a location on our site where volunteer opportunities can be shared with the community.
