Naperville wine connoisseurs and casual wine drinkers alike can rejoice this weekend when the 11th annual Naperville Wine Festival comes to the CityGate Centre, 2135 City Gate Ln.
On Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24, the Naperville Wine Festival will showcase more than 300 wines from around the world.
Sullivan's Steakhouse, Eddie Merlot's, SugarToad as well as other Naperville-area restaurants will be offering menu items during the event. Festivalgoers can pair gourmet specialties with featured wines from Wente Vineyards, Chateau Julien, Opolo Winery and many others.
The festival’s entertainment stage will hold interactive wine seminars and cooking demonstrations by experts in the field as well as modern rock Latin fusion band Lloyd Dobler Effect as well as Erin Bode Group.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will help support the Naperville Area Humane Society.
Naperville Wine Festival hours are Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday night ticket sales end at 8:30 p.m. and alcohol sampling and sales end at 9:30 p.m.
Adult Wine Tasting Tickets are $29 in advance and $35 at the door. This ticket price includes a souvenir wine glass, ten tastings, a festival program, access to food and wine demonstrations and musical entertainment.
