Naperville Park District Hosts Eco Fest, Electronic Recycling Saturday Morning

From 8 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday the Naperville Park District is hosting a recycling event, followed by an Eco Fest geared to families, which will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Residents who want to go green should head down to for two events the is hosting Saturday morning.

For anyone who has done spring-cleaning and was left with old electronic items the Naperville Park District is hosting a recycling event, followed by an Eco Fest.

The recycling event will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday with the Eco Fest to follow at 10:30 a.m.

A wide-variety of electronics will be accepted in the Centennial Beach parking lot. The exception is that televisions and CRT computer monitors are not being accepted. The Park District has a list of items being collected.

Families are encouraged to attend the Eco Fest, which will include a birds of prey show from the Northern Illinois Raptor Center, the Naperville Park District said. Along with the show there will be crafts, eco-friendly games and interactive exhibits.

The Eco Fest will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion. The birds of prey show will be held from 11 a.m. to noon.
