Naperville Man Wins $150K in Illinois Lottery Thanks to Change of Plans
Local wins more than $100,000 after purchasing a ticket at Circle K in Naperville.
A Naperville man won more than $100,000 in the Illinois Lottery thanks to a change of travel plans.
Brian Leisten won $150,000 in the Lucky Day Lotto on Aug. 21 after purchasing a ticket at Circle K, 1707 South Washington St., according to an Illinois Lottery press release. His matching winning numbers were: 05-15-16-22-23.
Leisten's decision to stay home that week proved to be a smart choice.

“I was supposed to be away in Michigan visiting family that week, but we decided not to travel ,” Leisten said in a press release. “How lucky that I was home in Illinois, not up in Michigan, and bought my Lucky Day Lotto ticket!”
Leisten, a Naperville resident of 26 years, works for the Illinois Tollway and plans to use his winnings to pay bills and invest for retirement, according to the release.
