The last known location of missing 84-year-old Eugene Jonnson was Yorkville on Friday, August 23 at 12:45 a.m. While there, authorities believe he asked for directions to Ogden Avenue and Route 59 in Naperville.
Ever since then, residents - and even truckers - in and around the southern suburbs have been looking for and getting the word out about Jonnson, and his car, according to the Aurora Beacon News. The Arlington Heights resident was last seen driving a 2004 Buick LeSabre 4-door, with Illinois license plate JONS507.
A woman from Aurora’s far east side told the paper family and friends have been looking through parking lots, a Plano church has been passing out flyers and truckers have been sharing information about Jonnson - with fellow truckers.
Eugene Jonnson is described as a male Caucasian, 84-years old, standing 5’10” and weighing 190 pounds, with gray, balding hair and blue eyes. He normally wears eyeglasses.
Police do not believe foul play is involved, but urge the public's help due to Jonnson's apparent confused state of mind and age.
Inquiries can be directed to the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Arlington Heights Police Department at 847-368-5348 or 847-368-5300-after hours and on the weekends.
