Millennium Carillon Opens for Tours Today

Along with the Carillon, the Riverwalk Eater is back in service on weekends, with the paddleboats and Centennial Beach opening soon.

Locals and visitors alike have the opportunity to make the trek up 253 stairs for an incredible view of Naperville from the tower at the top of the .

The Carillon and visitor center open again today for tours, the said. Visitors who climb the steps can see the surrounding Naperville neighborhoods and on a good day the Chicago skyline.

Summer recitals at the Carillon will begin again on June 5, with local carillonneurs, along with those from across the United States, Poland, Canada and the Netherlands, the Park District said.

Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays through Nov. 11. Friday hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will begin May 25 and continue through August 17. The fee is $3 for anyone 5 and older.

Along with the opening of the Carillon and visitor’s center, the Riverwalk Eatery is now open to customers on the weekends. The Riverwalk Eatery is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and will expand its hours after Memorial Day.

The Paddleboats are not yet open for service, but will begin to offer paddlers rides again on May 12. 

Centennial Beach will reopen to swimmers May 26 at 11 a.m. Early bird passes are currently on sale at the Naperville Park District
