Kevin Sings the News: 'Love Song to Jenna Jameson'

Every Friday, Patch's troubadour Kevin Trudo sings you a song based on the last week's headlines. This time it's a plea to porn star Jenna Jameson from a sad, neglected Naperville.

It was always going to be Jenna.

From the moment the story broke out of Naperville, this week’s song was pretty well decided. Specifically, it’s about movie theater Hollywood Palms for bailing on a personal appearance in Naperville to (allegedly) attend Perez Hilton’s birthday party in Los Angeles. Songwriters just don’t find opportunities like that one every day.

And our Patch troubadour, Kevin Trudo, didn’t pass this one up. His tune this week is a rollicking singalong called “Love Song to Jenna Jameson,” a semi-sweet plea from a city that feels ignored.

Though it’s based around the Hollywood Palms story, it also incorporates three other recent Patch headlines: a in Darien, a Yorkville man to find work, and a Plainfield woman who has .

Love Song to Jenna Jameson

Have you seen the things we've done to earn your love?
You've got us so torn down we're
Seems lately in Darien road rage is out of hand
I'd hate to think it started when you broke your plans

And I'm sure you didn't lie that isn't what I'm trying to say
I'm certain you felt terrible out drinking in LA
But after all the hours we've spent out here studying your skills
Jenna, please, ?

We won't say impolite things or keep staring at your can
And don't tell us it the lettuce,

We're all on the sides of roads here holding cardboard signs
And we spent lot of money telling folks that you'd stop by
It must have been some birthday to just blow off Naperville
But Jenna, please, we love you, do what you say you will

And I'm sure you didn't lie that isn't what I'm trying to say
I'm certain you felt terrible out drinking in LA
But after all the hours we've spent out here studying your skills
Jenna, please, why won't you come to Naperville?
Jenna, please, why won’t you come to Naperville?
