Drivers take note. Roadwork begins next week on intersection improvements at Ogden Avenue and Raymond Drive. The project is expected to run through the summer.
The Illinois Department of Transportation is undertaking the construction project, which is slated to start on Monday.
The construction improvements will lengthen the right and left turn lanes on the south leg of the Ogden Avenue intersection and will lengthen the left turn lanes on the east leg of the intersection on Ogden Avenue, according to the city of Naperville.
That stretch of road is prone to congestion and the city of Naperville is alerting residents that lane closures are expected in order for crews to complete the construction work. Drivers may want to consider other routes to avoid that section of road.
Work should be completed on the intersection improvements by July, according to the .
Along with the intersection improvements, the city said that it will also include pedestrian improvements including installing countdown pedestrian signals, adding new sidewalk on the south side of North Aurora Road and ADA improvements.
