Get Out: Fun Run, Fashion Show and American Music

The weekend is almost here and we offer some ideas for things to do around town.

Happy Friday Naperville! Oops. I’m jumping the gun. But, the weekend is almost here and right now that is almost as good as it really being Friday. (Can you tell this writer is eagerly waiting for Friday to arrive?) This weekend you can find adult clothing at a steal, run around Naperville and enjoy some classic American music.

Clothing Sale

If you are examining your wardrobe and feel it is sadly lacking some key pieces and the cost to fill the closet is not in your budget, consider the adult clothing resale event. This event will focus on adult clothing and items for the upcoming season, along with linens and things.

Easy Being Green

The Morton Arboretum always offers some really great events for kids. Today children will get to learn about being green and recycling. There will be a fun activity as kids learn to make treasure from trash.

Cougar Trot

The PTA is hosting its inaugural Cougar Trail Trot at the Springbrook Prairie at 83rd and Book Road. The race includes a 1-mile fun run and a 5K-trail run. The run is open to the public.

Naperville Home Show

Have a long honey do list? Then is where you need to be. The home show will offer a home improvement needs and companies all under one roof. The parking and entry is free. Can’t beat that if all you want to do is browse.

Ladies Fashion Show

The Naperville Junior Woman’s Club is hosting its 39th Annual fashion show. The event will feature NBC5 Meteorologist Ginger Zee along with the haute fashions. This year’s theme is Earth, Wind & Fire: Elements of Desire. The proceeds will benefit DuPage PADS and .

Run Club

If you weren’t tough enough to run outside during the winter but are ready to break out the running shoes, meet up with the ET Run Club outside the on Chicago Avenue. Runs of varying distances are offered and nobody runs alone.
