Fundraiser to Benefit Edward's Ronald McDonald Room

A fundraiser at three local Buffalo Wild Wing locations will help fund a Ronald McDonald Family Room at Edward Hospital.

If you are thinking of dining out this weekend, consider heading to the nearest Buffalo Wild Wings where you could help raise fund for project that will benefit sick children and their families. 

Once you are at Buffalo Wild Wings, all you have to do is say "Ronald McDonald Family Room Edward Foundation KidsCare Fundraiser" and 20 percent of your bill will be donated to benefit the room. Orders may be dine-in or to-go.

, the organizer of the event and the mother of Coleson Arends, a kindergarten student at RanchView Elementary School in Naperville who was diagnosed with leukemia three years ago, said the fundraiser will help create and support the Coleson Arends and Friends Ronald McDonald Family Room at Edwards Hospital.

The room will be the first of its kind in Illinois, allowing parents and siblings to rest and relax without the worry of being away from their loved one for an extended period of time. It will include a large living room, a kitchen and an educational resource area with Internet access. Amenities like a playroom, sleeping sections and showers will also be included.
