Flash Flood Warning, Tornado Watch Issued for Naperville

A flash flood warning and tornado watch have been issued for the Naperville area until Sunday afternoon.

A flash flood warning and tornado watch have been issued for the Naperville area until Sunday afternoon.

The flash flood warning is in affect for DuPage County and northern Will County until 3:30 p.m. and the tornado watch is in affect for both counties until 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service

Thunderstorms with "heavy rainfall" capable of producing one to two inches of rain per hour across the area have been indicated on radar, according to the National Weather Service.

The excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding, especially in poor drainage areas, according to the National Weather Service.
