Metra has canceled more than two dozen trains this evening because of continued hazardous weather conditions, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The BNSF Railway, which runs through Naperville, has been affected with at last three cancellations, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The BNSF Railway is operating on a modified inbound and outbound schedule, which started at 2:20 p.m. Monday and will continue through the remainder of the day. The modified schedule can be found on the Metra website.

In addition, a service update posted at 5:16 p.m. on the Metra website noted that trains scheduled to depart Aurora for Chicago were "experiencing extensive delays due to late arrival of equipment caused by severe weather related conditions."

The estimated time of delays are unknown, according to Metra. More updates should be available on the Metra website
