Naperville's Firefighting History

Terry Jelinek, a retired Naperville firefighter, will be in the Firehouse at Naper Settlement from 1-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 to talk with the public about Naperville's firefighting history. See the Joe Naper pumper, the first piece of firefighting equipment purchased in 1874 by the City of Naperville, and completely restored by Naperville Hose Company No. 1. Included with regular admission to Naper Settlement, $12 adults, $10 seniors, $8 youth 4-12. Naperville residents and members are free. Enjoy a free ice cream sundae in the Tavern from 2-3:30 p.m. as part of Settlement Sundays.
