"I liked the room where you could write on the walls with light," gushed Sarah. "It was fun and artistic and I wish I had one for my room."

The highlight of the day was when  Mayor Pradel led the crowd in a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday." Throughout the day  more than 2,100 children and adults enjoyed numerous activities located throughout the Museum’s three floors of exhibits and program rooms.

The summer Art Studio was stocked with paper and string ready to be turned into birthday hats and was also home to a giant birthday cake sculpture for visitors to decorate.  The Museum's Teen Volunteers organized a bake sale featuring  delicious cookies, cupcakes, brownies and worked it alongside corporate volunteers from SHC Direct.

Every year the DuPage Children's Museum welcomes 300,000 visitors, making it one of the most popular cultural attractions in the Chicago area.
