Drivers Should Expect Delays This Week on North Washington Street

Nightly lane closures have started along Washington Street as Phase Three of the .

The lane closures will be in effect along Washington Street until Sept. 2, according to the .

Drivers should expect the closures from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Washington Street from 5th Avenue to North Avenue, the city said. At least one lane will remain open at all times and flaggers will be there to guide traffic and ensure emergency vehicles are able to get through.

Motorists should expect some delays and may want to consider adding time for travel or using a different route.

The Naperville Metra Station Platform Improvement Project, which started in April, involves removal and reconstruction of the north and south platforms of the Naperville Metra Station.
