Drivers Asked to Avoid Fort Hill Drive

Grinding work will begin Wednesday and is expected to continue for a few weeks.

Driving down Fort Hill Drive could be a real grind for the next few weeks, so drivers may want to consider another route.

For the next few weeks roadway grinding work will be taking place on Fort Hill Drive from 75th Street to Quincy Avenue, according to the .

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of major intersections at 75th Street, Ogden and Aurora avenues, which will have work completed at off-peak hours, according to the city.

Drivers are asked to consider using other routes to avoid the construction, which the city said should be completed later this month.
